Chad VandenBrink ALS, P.Surv

Chad began working as a Surveyor’s Assistant at Snell & Oslund in 1998. In 2002, he graduated from SAIT’s Geomatics Engineering Technology program and over the course of the next 12 years continued to work at Snell & Oslund as a Field Crew Supervisor, Assistant Project Manager and Construction Project Manager. In 2011, through the Canadian Board of Examiners of Professional Surveyors, Chad began to pursue his designation as a Professional Alberta Land Surveyor. After four years of additional study, and two years of articling, he was commissioned as an ALS in 2017. Chad’s professional expertise and interests lie in the areas of, commercial construction, subdivisions, property lines and real property reports (RPRs).

In his spare time, Chad enjoys sports, camping and spending time with his wife and daughter.

Dirk (Dick) VandenBrink ALS, P.Surv, P. Eng

Dirk (Dick) began his work with Snell & Oslund as a Surveyor’s Assistant in 1976. After graduating from the University of Calgary in 1981 with a BSc in Surveying Engineering (now referred to as Geomatics Engineering), he was commissioned as a P.Eng (Professional Engineer) in 1984 and then as an ALS (Alberta Land Surveyor) in 1985. While his early work was focussed in the oilfield sector, over time Dirk developed a keen interest in municipal development and it is now his main area of work and expertise. He became a Partner in Snell & Oslund Surveys in 1985, and sole owner in 2007.

Having served as President of the Alberta Land Surveyor’s Association (ALSA), and as a member of its Council, Dirk remains actively involved in ALSA committees and activities. In his spare time he enjoys camping, farming and spending time with his family including his six grandchildren.

    Judy has been been the legal secretary and administration lead for Snell + Oslund since 2006. She is also part owner of the business.

  • Zaher Hasan - Calculating

    Zaher holds a Masters Degree in Land Survey Engineering from the University of Moscow Russia. He has been with Snell + Oslund since 2016.

    Sara has been with Snell + Oslund since 2005

  • Chris Foy - Party Chief

    Chris is a graduate of SAIT and is a Survey Technologist + Party Chief. He has been with Snell + Oslund since 2003. When needed Chris also takes on calculating + project management.

  • Kyle VandenBrink - Party Chief

    Kyle has been with Snell + Oslund since 2003 and also doubles as a draftsperson when needed.

    Nick is a graduate of SAIT and is a Survey Technologist and Party Chief. He has been with Snell + Oslund since 2007.
